The Schoßberghof in Minfeld has been owned by the Groß family for five generations. Cattle were bred here until 50 years ago. Then came pigs and chickens. Since 2013, Marion and Michael Groß's farm has been an organic vegetable farm. On 56 hectares, 85 different types of vegetables grow, as well as herbs and fruit trees. The special feature is the "solidary agriculture", which was founded in 2015 on the Schoßberghof. From 40 members in the early days, it has grown to 160 active members today, who get fresh fruit and vegetables every Saturday - for a basic monthly fee. In addition to the vegetables, the large farm store also sells homemade tofu from the farm's own soy cultivation and home-baked bread and cakes from the stone oven. Daughter Lisa supports Marion mainly with sales in the farm store, while son Tim works with dad Michael in the vegetable garden. (Text: SWR)
